Contraception

As part of our service, we will offer contraception to start with any of our treatments.

We will talk to you about your lifestyle and past medical history to find the methods that may suit you best. Long-acting reversible contraceptives are the ones you don't need to remember to take very often, and so they have the highest success at stopping an unwanted pregnancy. They are around 97-99% effective in comparison to the contraceptive ‘pill’ which is around 93% effective and condoms which are only 82% effective (typical use).

Please remember that condoms are the only method of contraception which reduce your chances of getting a sexually transmitted infection.
