Department Summary

The gynaecology services diagnose and treat a range of disorders affecting the female reproductive organs. We offer general gynaecological advice and treatment as well as physiotherapy and a range of specialist services.

The department is based in the Women's and Children's Unit of Peterborough City Hospital.  The unit has its own entrance, separate to the main hospital entrance.  This is next to car park D.

There is a cafe and shop in the entrance atrium, along with vending machines.

• Dysmenorrhoea – painful periods
• Menorrhagia – heavy periods
• Post menopausal bleeding
• Post coital bleeding – bleeding after sex
• Polyps
• Infertility
• Prolapse
• Incontinence
• Lichen Sclerosis
• Infections
• Cervical, vaginal and vulval abnormalities
• Early pregnancy problems
• Early pregnancy bleeding
• Endometriosis
• Polycystic ovaries
